Batgirl was sitting on the top of Wayne Tech. She was watching out and waiting for Batman and Robin to join her. Batgirl had wanted to get their early. She had been thinking about helping more around with the young justice but she wasn’t sure. Batgirl saw that her mind was better off when she was watching over Gotham. Also she had been missing hanging around Robin like this and of course Batman. They both are busy with the team. Batgirl figured someone had to be here to keep an eye on Gotham while the two of them were with the team.
Sitting there Batgirl saw there was nothing going on right now. It was a slow night. Batgirl sat down on the edge just watching the night sky at this point. Batgirl was thinking about school and her own gymnastic team she was on. Barbara had a hard time balancing school gymnastic team and make her dad happy. But as Batgirl she could get rid of her stress through crime fighting and just being a totally different person.
Soon she heard a girl scream. Standing up she looked around to see where the scream was coming from. Seeing the girl she was about to run that way till she saw that her boyfriend or husband had surprised her. Sitting back down she looked at her watch. It was only nine which was still early for criminals to run around. She gave it till about eleven then they will all go crazy.

He had specifically scheduled this night’s patrol to be one between him and his two protégés. It had been a while since he had spent time with both of them together. Although, merely spending time together wasn’t the objective. He’d use it to once more assess their skills and how they’ve progressed so far. He had a tactic in mind already, one that had the possibility of throwing them off just a bit. It wouldn’t be something he used every patrol.
Robin by his side, he grappled to the meeting location, swinging above the streets and casting a shadow onto everything underneath him. Although, by the time people looked up, he was out of sight. It didn’t take long for them to reach the location; the top of Wayne Tech. He landed solidly and silently on the roof and reattached his grapple to his belt. He briefly surveyed the city below. While it wasn’t as tall as Wayne Tower- the tallest building in the city –it still had a decent view of the city. While Wayne Tower’s height had its advantages, Wayne Tech was a more preferable location. It was easier to hear the individual sounds of the city below, and see the individual people, small as beetles, but not as small as ants.
He turned his attention to Batgirl after that brief moment, the expression on his face not changing in the slightest. It gave nothing away to others, but to those who knew him, they knew it was a neutral expression. While he wasn’t in a cheerful mood, he wasn’t in a bad one either. The day had been fair to him so far. Hopefully it would last through the patrol.
“Batgirl” he said evenly in greeting as he walked up to her. He eyed her briefly behind his cowl. He could tell that she was itching to get out there and take down criminals. He had no doubt that Robin was feeling the same. He used this as permission for himself to get started. He glanced between his two protégés, before taking a step back.
“You two lead the way” he rumbled in his bat voice. It gave nothing away as to his intentions and he was interested to see how his protégés handled themselves.

Lance Farkus wasn't nobody special. He was just another low grade thug trying to make a dime by robbing people at knife point. It was a dark alley, he was desperate....he didn't see his face. But then again that's why he was on the run. He made the dumb mistake of holding up The Joker.
"You know I never thought I'd be on the victim side of the mugging percentile. Feels weird, almost makes one reflect on what they've been doing all this time." The Joker says as he slowly chases after Lance, his hands in his pockets. "I hate soul searching. Makes me remember things, which is funny because I'm not even sure if it's real or not." Joker says before he lets out a laugh. "Don't run too far Lancey. It's no fun if I have to chase after you TOO much. We got this fun little, stalker/victim dynamic going on here. We don't need to ruin it by physical exertion." He says as he pulls out one of his knives. "Besides, I wanna try this self defense thing out. Think they'll buy it if I gut you like a fish for what you did?" Another wild cackle is heard as Joker continues his pursuit.

Robin landed on the roof beside Batman, a smile finding its way onto his face when he saw Batgirl. As soon as he heard Batman’s voice, he looked at him. So they would be leading the patrol? It wasn’t like he hadn’t led a patrol before. Even with Batgirl leading with him, he had experience. He gave his mentor a nod before turning a charming smile in Batgirl’s direction. Shooting out his grappling hook, he swung off the building, expecting the two to follow him. He’d start and if Batgirl noticed anything, he’d follow her in a heartbeat. He didn’t want to take control of the patrol; he was just starting it out.
He landed on another roof top, perching himself on the edge. He stiffened briefly and a chill ran up his spine at the sound of a familiar cackle. Great, he was out of jail again. “Batman, Batgirl,” he said quietly to get their attention. He then began to run along the edge of the rooftop, the laughter louder as he drew closer. He was confident that his mentor and friend were behind him; perhaps Batman had even vanished to go ahead and reach the criminal before his protégé.
The Boy Wonder pushed himself off the room with a flip and landed on the ground between the Joker and his prey. “Out of Arkham already? Wow that might be a new record.” He quipped, hoping his voice would draw the mad man’s attention away from the guy he was chasing. “Did you not like the food, the cozy bed?”

Batgirl smiled when Batman got there. She just kept looking down waiting for him to say something. To tell them what to do. Her eyes went wide when he told them to lead the way. “Batman are you sure you want us to do that?” Batgirl looked at Robin and looked back down. They got along but sometimes they would but head on what to do. What was the right way and what was the wrong way. Other than that they actually were the best together.
When Robin called there names she looked at what he was saying. Seeing what he was looking at Batgirl smiled. Looking at Batman she wondered if he wanted them to go ahead. So she waited for Robin’s lead. It would be easy with him taking the lead.
As he pushed off Batgirl followed right after him. There was no way she was going to have him have all the fun and get hurt. Batgirl landed right behind the Joker so he didn’t try to run the other way. Smiling at Robin she just shook her head and rolled her eyes. “So Joker you want to do this the hard way or the easy way. Either way you are going to lose.”

Joker laughed. "Oh Goodie, you two are here. I get to do this part. That man tried to rob me at gunpoint. Do the part where you beat him up and get Batsy to come and do the gravely voiced threatening to not do it again speech." He stood there a moment. "By the way I'm not joking, he did do that. I don't even have a scheme for you all yet, I was just hitting up that 7-11 down the street for a slurpee and a bag of potato chips. You kids sent me to Arkham before I could finish watching last Seasons Game of Thrones. Do you know how HARD it is for me to get a guy on the payroll just to tape the episodes for me?"
Lance Farkus stands up. "Oh God, KEEP AWAY FROM ME YOU COSTUMED FREAKS!!" He pulls his gun back out and aims it at them. "I'M NOT GOING TO JAIL FOR THIS!!!"
"Yeah...might want to deal with that. Last I checked you kids are not bulletproof." Joker says as he pulls out his bag of chips and begins to eat. "I'll wait. Oh and give him one for me, he made me drop my slurpee." He says, laughing gleefully.

When Batgirl questioned him, he merely looked at her. Yes, he was sure. Besides, he had a fair amount of confidence that his two protégés could manage to get along. They were friends and besides playful banter, he’d never really seen nor heard of a fight between them. He did pay attention to details such as that, even though he pretended not to. He was also still working out how exactly to confront Robin about his “secret” girlfriend, which he had yet to mention to Bruce. It irked him.
He followed the two teens, noticing how Robin automatically took the lead between the two of them and Batgirl took a small step back, but didn’t let up. Batman trailed behind them, observing them while also keeping his sense sharp to the city around them. They weren’t too far into the patrol when he heard the same thing that caught Robin’s attention. He came to a halt, instantly ducking into a nearby shadow that covered the roof, concealing himself.
He remained on the roof, though, as his two protégés leaped toward the criminal. His eyes were narrowed critically, waiting for any point where he felt the need to intervene. He would eventually, but not now. He wanted to see how the two handled the situation. Of course, Robin instantly got in a few quips, while Batgirl got straight to the point.
He analyzed the way they chose to land in the alley, one on either side, blocking the Joker from an easy escape. It was smart and a good, basic tactic. He just hoped that they remembered that, when cornered, some criminals tended to become double as unpredictable. This was especially true of the crazier ones, Joker included.
He listened to the Joker’s babbling, a mere distraction and stalling technique. His eyes flashed to the common thug, still aware of his presence despite his focus being on the Joker. Both these men were going to jail tonight. Joker wasn’t supposed to be out of Arkham and he was fairly sure the thug had a warrant out on him.
He tensed as the thug pulled out a gun and aimed it at his two protégés. This, he decided, was when he would make his move. He’d narrow down the factors, let his protégés focus on just one threat; the bigger one. He quickly took out a batarang from his utility belt and expertly threw it. It sliced through the air, before embedding itself in the hand of the thug that was holding the gun. Batman then leaped off the roof, spreading his cape behind him to better control the fall. His feet connected with the chest of the thug, bringing him down to the ground. He then stepped off the man, kicking the gun away as he did so. His cape fell around him, concealing the rest of his body. He turned and faced the Joker, eyes narrowed. He jutted his chin toward his two apprentices, giving them the go ahead. They knew to be cautious and he certainly hoped that they knew when they were in over their heads.
