FILE
NAME: Charlotte Gage-Radcliffe.
CODENAME: Misfit.
AGE: Sixteen.
GENDER: Female.
ALLIANCE: Hero.
HEIGHT: 5'4"
WEIGHT: 110 lbs.
FAMILY: Mother and newborn sibling (deceased). Father (unknown to her). Lori Zechlin (Black Alice, undefined relation).
OTHER CHARACTERS: N / A.
APPEARANCE: Short, standing at just 5'4''. Though, you'd probably notice the mop of red hair first, and a few freckles. At least before seeing her blue eyes, then maybe her carefree "misfit" sense of style and fashion.
PERSONALITY: Charlotte can be complex. She's a very adventurous, hyper, impulsive and confident young girl. If she sets her mind on something, she will try to complete whatever that may be. Which may or may not get her into trouble, but she can also be adaptable. As in: trying to think outside the box to accomplish her goals-ect. Charlotte likes to think of herself as being reliable and cheerful as well, which is shown in most of her actions. Though, sometimes she may hide her emotions, until something gives out. One last thing, is that while she may appear to be bubbly and immature, she can actually be pretty smart.
POWERS: [Teleportation / Healing / Sensor Invisibility / Strength / Agility]
She is able to teleport anywhere she wants to go, no matter if she knows the location or not, and she calls this ability of hers as "bouncing." When this happens, Charlotte appears and disappears in a ring of pink-purple smoke.
Charlotte can also heal her own wounds, this usually takes a few minutes, if not more. However, her teleportation accelerates the healing process.
She is invisible to sensory technology, that is designed to detect intruders that suddenly appear, where they are not wanted.
With her level of strength, it allows her to hit things pretty hard. Perhaps to knock the wind out of someone, or to make a dent in different objects. Move different objects of weight too.
Lastly, her agility; which isn't really a power but a skill. Being a rookie and on her own for now, she tried to train herself in martial arts. A skill that needs to be nurtured by someone more experienced then her, but for now she has some worthy agility.
[Weaknesses of those powers]
Despite being able to teleport anywhere she wishes, live beings do not survive with her. There are other weaknesses to this power as well, such as mental focus. If Charlotte can't concentrate, to think about where she wants to go, then she remains in one place. Not to mention, she has to be conscious to use this power at all.
As for her healing abilities, Charlotte can't regenerate a severed limb or make a comeback from a serious brain injury, for example.
Lastly, all of her powers are magic based, so if anything interferes with magic, such as a spell or a certain item to cause disruption, Charlotte's combined powers will not work. Or they just might go haywire, for the really unexpected.
HISTORY: Charlotte was raised by a single mother in one of Metropolis's worst slums, but she wasn't alone, per say. Despite not knowing who her father is, she wasn't an only child, because there was also a newborn sibling in the picture. The three of them shared their lives together in a apartment with a crooked landlord over them, and at a young age she discovered that she had powers. Naturally, Charlotte explored all of her powers as a means of learning more about herself, but she hadn't found an explanation for her powers. Her mother felt uneasy and scared about Charlotte's powers, that she requested she stop using them. Whenever a fire began to engulf the apartment building, Charlotte was trapped with her family and there was no way out. Her mother told her to leave, going so far s to scream at her. Charlotte's mother knew that she would be safe, because of her powers.
In the end, she survived because she used her powers of teleportation, and Charlotte learned that a few other tenants had escaped that day. However, that is not all that she learned in the end, the crooked landlord didn't keep the building up to code, in more ways then one. A couple of fire detectors were broken and the fire escape stairs were not properly maintained. The landlord was sentenced to just six months for his neglect, it was no wonder that she didn't take matters into her own hands for revenge. Now fully orphaned and alone, Charlotte lives in the burned out remains of her former home, while going on with her life as a sixteen year old in High School. Still, that's not all.
She wanted to be a hero, because there was always a story about the day being saved, from one famed hero to the next. Or at least an upcoming hero, saving the day and getting some kind of credit. There was also the importance of doing good. So, who wouldn't like that, saving the world at all? Feeling a bit like a Misfit, she made up a persona of just that. Charlotte became a rookie hero, calling herself Misfit in order to fight crime and to save the day, where she sees fit. She usually spends her time bouncing between Gotham and Metropolis.
ROLE-PLAYING SAMPLE: Instead of doing her assigned homework, for most of her totally boring classes, Charlotte's mind had settled elsewhere. Just where could her sense of focus and responsibility be, if it wasn't on homework, you ask? It was solely on the topic of saving the world. Which consisted of Metropolis and of course, Gotham, for now. She finally went about suiting up for the night, all in order to fight the good fight for justice. That was her responsibility, or she was going to make it be, at least. "Sorry Mom, I'll do my homework later." Charlotte spoke toward herself and in a low tone of voice, while standing in the burned out hull of her bedroom.
It felt kind of silly, talking to someone that isn't around any longer. Though, it helped her cope and she didn't want to admit that for some reason, and she continued on talking. "Don't wait up. I'll be totally fine!" With that out of the way, Charlotte finally felt ready to go out and make herself known. She was wearing a periwinkle colored t-shirt, with black short sleeves and a "M" logo on the front of her shirt. It should be noted that it was smudged a little, because if your hand isn't steady, a sharpie pen hates you. Charlotte was also wearing a pair of black leggings and a jeaned skirt, the only thing that was missing is an utility belt. Sadly, it wasn't in the budget for now, but a cape and mask had been. Charlotte bounced off in a ring of purple-pink smoke, telporting to a random neighborhood that wasn't hers. You may not think that crime is close to your home but it is, unfortunately.
