Instead of doing her assigned homework, for most of her totally boring classes that she had to sit through, Charlotte's mind had settled elsewhere. Just where could her sense of focus and responsibility be, if it wasn't on homework, you ask? It was solely on the topic of saving the world. Which consisted of Metropolis and of course, Gotham, for now. She finally went about suiting up for the night, all in order to fight the good fight for justice. That was her responsibility, or she was going to make it be, at least. "Sorry Mom, I'll do my homework later." Charlotte spoke toward herself and in a low tone of voice, while standing in the burned out hull of her bedroom. It felt kind of silly, talking to someone that isn't around any longer. Though, it helped her cope and she didn't want to admit that for some reason, and she continued on talking.
"Don't wait up. I'll be totally fine!" With that out of the way, Charlotte finally felt ready to go out and make herself known. She was wearing a periwinkle colored t-shirt, with black short sleeves and a "M" logo on the front of her shirt. It should be noted that it was smudged a little, because if your hand isn't steady, a sharpie pen hates you. Charlotte was also wearing a pair of black leggings and a jeaned skirt, the only thing that was missing is an utility belt. Sadly, it wasn't in the budget for now, but a cape and mask had been. Charlotte bounced off in a ring of purple-pink smoke, telporting to a middle class neighborhood that wasn't hers. You may not think that crime is close to your home but it is, unfortunately. Charlotte smirked while beginning her patrol, wandering down a sidewalk with her gloved fists balled. Her sharp, blue eyes begin to scan her surroundings and she made a few observations. There were a lot of nice cars, not to mention apartment homes as well.
She began to speak in a low tone, directed toward herself in a sing-song voice. "Going out tonight, gonna catch me a crook and stomp their face in justice." Ok, so she wasn't going to be the next pop star, yet. It's a fact that she knew and eventually-. Well, she ceased what she was doing in order to pay attention. The redhead had a hunch that the current neighborhood in which she was in, was just about to get picked clean. A lot of thefts had been happening as of late, with no real answers and unfortunately the items that were stolen, they just vanished. Whenever her hunch fell into a realty, she didn't get the impulsiveness to act, because she wanted to see where the crooks were headed first.
Then, she would bust them with a little bit of her "Dark Vengeance," and return all the stuff. What a headline that would be for the Gotham Gazette! "The Super awesome Misfit saved the day!" Yep, cool headline of glory. After a long while of lurking, ducking and hiding, Misfit finally found the crooks hiding place. An abandoned amusement park, one that looked like it belonged in Gotham alright; creepy as hell. Misfit took cover behind a house of mirrors attraction, building, for a fraction of a second. She eventually bounced to appear on top of a truck, surprising a criminal that was about to load a box into the truck. "Hey, there. I'm Misfit and you're about to taste some Dark Vengeance!" Charlie jumped down from on top of the truck and extended her foot to kick the criminal in front of her. Obviously not caring about stealth anymore, as her attack went through and the criminal fell onto the ground, landing on his back. Acting as if the wind had been knocked out of him, where as Misfit rolled away from her attack and landed into a kneeling position. Little did she know, she was about to bring a whole lot of trouble her way.

He had already stopped several crimes that night, which was to be expected. He specifically planned out the routes he took during patrol, using statistics and years’ worth of experience. He was only about halfway through his patrol and already on his tenth stop; the abandoned amusement park. He’d heard rumors of some low level thieves hiding out there. He was going to inspect it for evidence. If the thieves were actually there, he would quickly apprehend them and leave them for the GCPD.
He parked the Batmobile a few blocks down, before using his grapple to take to the roofs. From there, he stealthily made his way over to the amusement park. When he arrived, he stuck to the shadows, blending in as he silently patrolled around the park. His eyes landed on a truck and an obvious crook who was loading items- most likely stolen –into it. He was about to make his move, when more movement caught his eye. He looked to see a teenage girl, dressed in some homemade costume that couldn’t possibly have been bulletproof, jump up on top of the truck. He let out the slightest sigh.
Now, Batman was supportive of teenage heroes. He was the one to bring in the first one, after all. But that was with the right conditions and the right guidance. Not anyone, especially not any child, could be a hero. This was mostly true with the non-powered teens that decided to take up vigilantism as a past time. Without guidance, they would undoubtedly wind up dead. So, if this girl was serious about it, she’d need some tutoring. And he had a feeling it would be falling on his shoulders, as most things were lately.
He couldn’t help but cock an eyebrow slightly. “Dark vengeance?” Really? He’d have a talk with her about that later.
He watched as she took out that one crook. That one move showed potential, he’d admit, but he didn’t give her any more assessment as he noticed more thugs arriving, a couple of them carrying guns. He swiftly took out two batarangs and tossed them expertly. They sliced through the air, aimed at the two out of seven men that actually had guns. The batarangs hit the two men in the hands holding the guns before they could even pull the trigger. As the batarangs cut the two men’s hands, they let out yells of pain and dropped the guns. Batman moved then. He ran out from the shadows, jumping on the hood of the shipping truck and then leaping onto the top of it. He then jumped down, landing next to the teenager as his cape fell around his shoulders and concealed the rest of his body.
The looks on the crooks’ faces would’ve made him laugh, if he was anyone else.

The Joker was quietly laughing at the movie he was watching in his trailer, somewhere in the amusement park. It'd been only a little bit since he'd broken out of the dreary facility called Arkham where those big boys in tights and their puppies constantly tried to keep the people down, for their various reasons. He didn't even remember what it was he'd supposedly did to get incarcerated in Arkham. What was it? Oh had he killed someone or something again? What about it? There's nothing wrong with that he thought.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha." The Joker laughed calmly watching the screen.
It was his favorite show, Lost, and his favorite character Ben Linus was getting beaten up again.
Maybe Joker'd been a bad guy. Or maybe he'd replaced all the books in the library with bad magazines. Maybe he'd went to eat at Mc Donald's, but not bought anything and got arrested for either being himself or loitering. Maybe he'd even tried to jump off a building and Batman had just saved him. Who knows, but the Joker knew one thing and that was he wasn't going back to that place again.
"Hi hi hi hi hi." The Joker laughed again, flipping the channel.
He'd managed to find another purple suit, and was wearing that as well as purple slacks, gloves and green bunny slippers. He'd slipped a posy in his lapel, though it was but one of plastic.
"A yi ya yi yi yo yo yo ya." The Joker laughed.
There were some things the Joker liked to do that he thought didn't hurt any other people, or even himself, and everyone else thought they were bad things. Like for instance watching his favorite show, and wearing his wonderful bunny slippers; Batman would come on in, and POW in the face. That'd be horribly bad too, the Joker thought.
"Ho ho ho ho." The Joker laughed.
