Batgirl smiled. “I heard about that. I can’t believe you did that to the Joker.” Batgirl right now felt safe with the two of them here. Not that she couldn’t handle her own it just felt nice knowing there was some strong help near her.
Hearing M’gann ask the question Batgirl smiled. “They are just big hard candy. You just lick them till they go small once small you just put it in your mouth and suck on it. They are a pain and can make your jaw hurt. Since you have to keep licking it. Those are big so they take forever.” Batgirl wasn’t sure if she was able to explain it all to well. “They are good though.”
Walking away Batgirl grabbed a small clear bag and began to put all different kind of candy. Then she grabbed another one and did the same thing. “Robin would probably have an egg if I didn’t bring him one.” Batgirl smirked Robin wasn’t the only one who could crack a joke from time to time. “Just grab a plastic bag and throw some candy in. Like I said its all on me.”

M'gann followed their conversation about the Joker, disheartened that she had no idea what they were talking about, "Joy Buzzed?" She asked, eyebrows knit in curiosity. There was no such term on Mars that translated to the English equivalent, there were a lot of terms on Earth that M'gann had grown a custom to especially with the help of television shows and books but some phrases still caught her out.
When Static reminded her of why they came here in the first place, she smiled, "Oh, right, of course. Thanks for reminding me." After hearing Batgirl's explanation of a Jawbreaker she was glad that she didn't have to find out by eating one, it sounded painful. "Hmm, I think I'll go with cotton candy after all." She giggled, mainly to herself then approached the counter and joyfully accepting the candy given to her. "I think we'll be fine with just the cotton candy," She didn't want to inconvenience Batgirl by spending more money than necessary, she was more than content with what she had. Glancing at Static digging into the candy, she couldn't help but laugh at his enthusiasm.
She carefully bit into hers, fairly sure her pupils dilated for a second or two as the pink cloud melted into mist on her tongue, it was sickeningly sweet and left a tingling sensation on her lips that screamed for her to carry on eating. She happily complied, chomping away at the strange yet extremely satisfying food in her hands.

Static chuckled as he continued to eat his cotton candy nodding his head in M’gann’s direction when she told him thank you. He heard everything said about jawbreakers and rolled his eyes “Man I hate jawbreakers you totally made a good choice with not going with them.” He said out loud walking over to the door and then leaning against it as he waited for the other two to finish up with getting whatever candy it is they wanted. It seemed Batgirl was getting stuff for Robin as well. The Joke of course didn’t go over his head because well he himself was a jokester but his jokes were way better than hers. But he wasn’t going to say that no, he simply laughed. “Robin laying an egg? Now I can see that happening as much as I can see the other two bats laying an egg.” He grinned then put his hand on his chin as if thinking to himself, “well the little bat more than either of them.” Sure, not his best joke ever but he was a little tired and more focused on his cotton candy but it was right after hers and nearly perfectly timed just like every other joke he throws out. The grin on his face was only made bigger when Miss Martian it into her first bite of Cotton Candy. The look on her face was priceless, so priceless he could hardly stifle a laugh. “Enjoying the candy Miss M?” He asked with a smile before taking another bite out of his own pink fluffy cloud. ((sorry not my best post but all I could get out))

Batgirl looked at M’gann and looked at Static. “Nothing you will have to worry about M’gann.” Batgirl looked at Static hoping that he won’t say anything else that will confuse her. Really all and all she didn’t want anything to upset her at all.
Batgirl agreed with Static. “They are not my favorite things.” Looking at M’gann she smiled. “Good isn’t it.” Batgirl was glad that M’gann was enjoying her time and so is Static. Having tonight was a great night. Its making her more and more to actually join the team and help them more than she already was. Batgirl looked at Static. “Robin is more into the jokes than I am.”
Batgirl got the two bags and tied them on her belt and smiled. “So what would you guys like to do now? Gotham is a nice place if you can get past the villains.”
Waving bye to the cashier she headed outside. Tonight was a great night. No bad guys around and three heroes doing nothing. What more can a girl ask for.

M'gann smiled when Static commended her choice, "Well, we did come here for cotton candy which honestly looked a lot more appetizing." She walked around the shop, slowly consuming said confectionery as she took in her surroundings. It was truly whimsical, something she could only compare to what she'd seen in movies or read in books.
When Batgirl addressed her she turned around, "Definitely! It's very kind of you to pay for us, I promise I'll find a way to get the money back to you." She was now half way through her cotton candy, the cloud of pink fluff growing smaller and smaller in her hands. Her ears perked, listening to Static and Batgirl joke around about Robin and 'laying eggs.' It was a peculiar topic - she knew humans couldn't lay eggs, well, in a very technical and biological sense some could but she was fairly sure Robin couldn't. "Does the joke have something to do with Robin having the same name as a bird? Or is there something else I'm not getting here?"
M'gann couldn't help but notice Static's amused behaviour and was glad that she made him laugh, "Loving it." She nodded, she didn't feel the need to ask the same of Static, having voiced his assent as soon as he took his first bite. When Batgirl exited the quaint store, M'gann followed in her tracks. "I honestly don't mind, you guys know the city better than me. Plus, I was the one who picked this place, it's only fair you get a choice of where to go." She said, her tone amicable before she bit into her cotton candy.

“Both, I’m not getting into the latter of the two though M’gann.” He said with a chuckle and slight twitch as he thought about the second part again. Now, that would be very disturbing to see, I mean who would want to see it anyway? Shrugging mentally to himself he followed the girls out taking care not to glance at certain things longer than he should, but hey come on he was absolutely loving it, but his father and mom had raised him as a gentleman. That didn’t mean of course he wasn’t going to brag about everything that happened that night to Gear and maybe his old man. He took another bite out of his cotton candy while he listened to the two girls’ converse then swallowed the food as he thought up an answer. “How about we just go you know patrol, the actual reason why M’gann and you are probably both out here.” He said in reply to Batgirl’s question. Sure, that’s probably not the answer either of them wanted to hear or the best answer to the question but it was his answer. That and it is what he actually wanted to do, he had about four hours left till pops came calling and it took about an hour to get back to Dakota by his flight. So, he wanted to get some fun in before he was whisked away back to Dakota to spend some family time with Sharon and his Pops. Not his favorite thing in the world but it was fun at times don’t get him wrong, his dad had some awesome friends. Literally everyone famous seemed to somehow know his old man and that was cool with Virgil. Though whenever he went to Gotham his dad always seemed to get a call from a certain Bruce Wayne.

With a smirk she had a great idea. “There is a tall building on clear nights like tonight you can see most of Gotham. It is the best place to patrol and it is very calming.” Batgirl started to walk and smirked. “We just need to start getting on top of buildings for that.” Getting out her bat thing she pointed it up and aimed. The hooks got around the top of the building and she pressed a button. Once she pressed it she headed up. Once on top of the building she looked at them. “Come on.” She called out. Taking a head run she began to jump buildings.
As she kept running using her tools to get across buildings and her skills she finally got there. Standing up she could see most of Gotham from there. “You see this place is great.” As she looked over you could see the docks, the station, Wayne enterprise, even Wayne’s mansion. There was so many other buildings. The lights weren’t to bright tonight so the cool thing was the fact that everyone could see the stars good here. “I hope you guys don’t mind this. Its really nice and all. Plus being around here sometimes is relaxing. All heroes need time to enjoy the night not just be after the bad guys and worry about it. Like tonight nothing is going down so why worry about it.”

M'gann nodded when Static refused to elaborate, the action slightly delayed with her bewilderment. She didn't understand why but he seemed uncomfortable, not wanting to pry she no longer lingered on the subject.
She reacted positively to Static's suggestion, a grin taking over her features, "Oh, that sounds fun! I mean - it's not like I get some sick pleasure in messing with criminals or anything," She waved her hand haphazardly, "It's the saving people part, really." She glanced down sheepishly, clasping her hands behind her back. M'gann was immensely enjoying her time with Static and Batigrl, feeling humbled and honoured in their presence, they accepted her easily which made the whole 'hanging out' thing feel natural.
When Batgirl suggested they move to higher ground, M'gann noticeably lit up, levitating off the ground a little. She followed Batgirl's path enthusiastically, cotton candy still tight in her gloved grip and her cape fluttering behind her in the breeze. At first the darkness induced a fear in M'gann that reminded her of all too many lonely nights on Mars where she was left with solitude but now, with two friends, the night felt entirely bearable, filled with exciting possibilities for what the evening had in store.
When they reached the roof of the building, M'gann landed silently and gazed at the vista, her mouth agape for what felt like hours. She finally broke out of her revelry and gasped, "This is beautiful. It's just like the movies." Her eyes glazed over as she took in the skyline, there were tiny orbs of light dotted across the dark edifices of the city but not too bright to blind the stars from the sky's sight. It was magical - mesmerizing, even. It suddenly hit M'gann that without Batgirl and Static, her trip to Gotham could have been only notable for its gloomy disposition.
"Some night this turned out to be, huh?" M'gann sighed wistfully.

“Then what the hell are we doing waiting around here for?” Static asked B-Girl with a grin, finishing his cotton candy he took out the disc again. Electrifying the disc Static laughed at M’gann’s statement then hopped on and rose himself up into the air waiting to find out where to go. So, up they had to go, that much was obvious but building hopping? He wasn’t too sure he really wanted to that so instead would fly like he usually does, way easier anyway. Thinking about that also made him wonder when Batman was going to create the suit he saw Terry in so the B-Man could fly around also instead of using the grappling hooks every time he wanted to get somewhere high up. It took a while, but it was definitely worth the wait. The view from up there was amazing already; you could see that even before getting to the building Bat Girl had pointed out. Landing down next to the two girls a low whistle escaped his lips as he took it in. The view was not bad, not bad at all; to be honest it was pretty dang captivating. Just looking around he could see practically everything in Gotham from all the way up here. This would totally be something else he would be rubbing in Richie’s face as soon as he got home and Richie got back from summer vacation, which should be pretty soon as school was to start just about any time now. Don’t mind it? Well sure Static wanted to go around doing what he did best, saving people and sending a shock through bad guys system but every once in a while even the good guys needed a day, or night, off. Why not let that night be tonight? “Hey there’s that filthy rich guy’s mansion!” He called out pointing out Wayne Mansion with a chuckle, sure he knew who the B-Man truly was but he wasn’t going to go around advertising it. “I think my pops went to school with or taught him at one point, something like that. I don’t pay much attention to that.” He murmured this under his breath not realizing he had even spoke it out loud. Hearing M’gann he smiled, “Yea it did. Didn’t it?”

“Saving people is the part that we all want to do. But there are times I like nights like this. Peaceful and just nice. There are times that its hard to be a student and a hero. But you have to keep it up no matter what.” Batgirl was having a good time with the two heroes. It was actually a sweet night for her.
Sitting there she watched the two heroes. “Thank you I love this area. Its normally just me here. I don’t bring Batman or Robin here.” Batgirl always imagined that she would be here with someone she really liked on a date or something. But being here with friends was the just as good. Batgirl looked at M’gann and nodded. “It didn’t turn out to be a great night.’
Batgirl laughed. “Bruce is really a sweet guy. He helps Gotham a lot even if he does have some bad people in his company that makes really bad things but that is why the heroes are here to help to save people like that.” Looking her eyes went wide. “Really your dad taught Bruce. Man the stories you must have. That would just be great to have those stories.” Batgirl wanted to know them if he knew any of them.

M'gann nodded in agreement with Batgirl's words, even she had to admit she had troubles with balancing out her lives as Megan and Miss Martian. But she didn't feel that they equated with Batgirl's concerns entirely; it was obvious that Batman enforced incredibly high levels of secrecy on his protégés.
When Batgirl announced how she usually came here alone, M'gann's eyebrows furrowed as she tried to work out what she was insinuating, after a few seconds she picked up on it. "I know what you're saying, although it's good to know you have some places where you can talk and work with your friends... sometimes you just need a place to call your own." She smiled in understanding then followed Static's line of vision when he mentioned 'that filthy rich guy's mansion.' She wasn't sure who he meant, but it definitely did look like it belonged to a billionaire of some sort.
It seemed like both of them personally knew who he was, M'gann deduced that they were also well off in the financial department to be able to have met him but she stopped her musing before too long, it was none of her business to make those type of assumptions. "So your dad went to school with him," M'gann indicated towards Static, "and..." She changed her indication to Batgirl in her trial of figuring out who they were talking about, when she heard the name Bruce it clicked. "You mean Bruce Wayne. I've never really met him but from the TV Interviews he seems like a charitable guy."
Now that she thought about it, the idea of hearing about Static's dad teaching Bruce Wayne sounded interesting and M'gann did little to hide her enthusiasm, "Ohhh, tell us, tell us!" She grinned up at Static from her sitting position on the floor, excited to hear a tale or two but not minding if he didn't want to.

When they both spoke out about wanting to hear stories about his dad teaching Bruce he blinked. Scratching the back of his head he thought of what to say before sighing and just getting it out. "Uhh... Yea I said thought, think, I'm not even sure if my dad really did teach him. See my dad taught a lot of famous people, like Shaq, so you know h probably taught Mr. Wayne as well." Static said the disc rising a little of the ground, he sticking his legs out over the edge and looking off in the distance once more. It truly was a nice view. But all good things must come to an end, and his came with the static ring of the shock box. When he went to answer the shock box it wasn't Richie, or Gear, on the other end but his dad. A very upset and worried parent, and Static was apparently out past his curfew...again. Groaning he told him he'd be right there. Standing up he put the shock box back in his jacket pocket, putting his glasses/goggles on he waved to Megan and Barbara/B-Girl as he rose up. "Well gota go, looks like Dakota needs Static once again." He says playing it off with a smile as he took off to the west, realized he was going the wrong way he turned around. Chuckling he took off towards Dakota leaving a trail of purple electricity behind him.
