There was a sense of freedom that came with Summer vacation, something M'gann had never really felt before. She enjoyed school enough; having an affinity for learning and a general curiosity in human education, the subjects taught were very different compared to that on Mars. Instead of being examined on shapeshifting, she was taking tests on geometry, language linking was replaced with English, meditating was replaced with lunch. It took her a short amount of time to grow accustomed to a new (much less strict) schedule at the start but having friends helped with getting used to the system.
Even so, the system became mundane after a few months and the concept of Summer vacation was a welcome aspect to her life as a student. It gave her time to actively help people but unlike the rest of the team she didn't exactly have an assigned city to dedicate herself to, she was only dedicated to a cause - which she was more than content with. It occurred to her that she'd never seen Gotham before so when the thought crossed her mind she jumped at the chance. Soaring through the clouds, M'gann descended on her destination, somewhat excited by the prospect.
All too soon, M'gann regretted the decision.
There was an impending atmosphere to Gotham, as if every time you turned a corner you'd have to be on-guard. It was so dark that it seemed tangible, suffocating almost. She couldn't see herself visiting the city very often but she understood why Batman had vowed to rid of its criminal nature. Suddenly something caught her eye. A large ferris wheel stood in the middle of an amusement park although it wasn't adorned with the scintillating twinkle of neon lights - unlike what she'd seen in the movies.
When she landed in front of it, she found herself crestfallen by its appearance. It was rusty, discoloured by feeble, faded paint and creaking with the wind. M'gann's eyebrows creased together, as if waiting for the structure to suddenly brighten at her mind's whim however she just found herself disappointed. Taking her mind off it, she scanned around the park; abandoned carts decorated the desolate area as well as small rides, there was a monstrous rollercoaster that she could only identify by referring back to episode 13 of 'Hello, Megan!'
Her feet guided her around dead spaces, there had to be something here that she could peek in, anything. Her eyes landed on something called a 'Ghost Train' and her curiosity passed its limit. Wasting little time, she flew beyond the dusty curtains and was greeted with a dark corridor.
Cautiously, she drifted through, her pulse beginning to quicken. She was scared but all too anxious to stop her investigation. Turning a corner, she gasped. Her eyes widened and she recoiled, face to face with a dangling human skeleton. For a few seconds, she simply stared at the object - horrified by the notion that humans would use skeletons as a form of horror. M'gann had been taught that in order to take on the pretense of a human - she had to respect the species, along with its anatomy and physiology. It baffled her that humans didn't think the same of themselves.
She couldn't linger on her thoughts for very long, hearing something, no - someone. Frantically, she looked around the room for a place to hide, then she realised; "Hello, Megan!" She mentally scolded herself, slapping her palm to her forehead. Adorning her hood, she disappeared into thin air and backed up against a wall. Waiting for whoever it was to reveal themselves.

Static was in Gotham once again looking for a bang baby that had decided to try and take 'refuge' in the godforsaken city. He really didn't understand why they figured fleeing to Gotham would save them. Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn's little 'bang baby cure' had been shut down but people still figured they could find what they wanted here. This time he was after someone tricky, someone he wasn't quite sure he could catch. Replikon, or Marvin Roper, a shapeshifter who could take on every aspect of a person. Even a meta humans powers, only thing was he was like a mirror image so any scars or tattoos would be on the opposite side. But he had managed to follow the man, or woman now rather, into an old abandoned amusement park or carnival thing. He couldn't believe it, here he was in Gotham and he hadn't seen Bruce or Dick, rather B-Man and Robin, once. The two detectives would be great help on this case. "Come on Rep just give up and come back with me man. Jail ain't that bad, you get three good meals a day!" He called out to the shapeshifter who was now running for some place called 'Ghost Train' or something like that. Of course after thinking of food Static's stomach grumbles. 'Yea good three meals, wish I could get some of that.[/color]' He thought to himself as he followed the man in having to get of the static disc to follow him in. "Man it's dark in here... Let's light it up shall we." He said out loud raising his hands and sending and electricity through the lights turning them all in static style. "Much better."He could hear running, heavy breathing, and then crashing. He was deffinetly in here the only hard part was finding out just were he really was. But luckily he'd be the only other person in here and upon entering Static had left a electric wall in front of the door. So, if he tried to leave he'd haveHe could hear running, heavy breathing, and then crashing. He was deffinetly in here the only hard part was finding out just were he really was. But luckily he'd be the only other person in here and upon entering Static had left a electric wall in front of the door. So, if he tried to leave he'd have to get through that. Without noticing he passed by Miss Martian as he looked for the man, "Come out, come out wherever you are rep. You can't really hide in here." He muttered hearing a noise he spun around ball lightning in hand ready to throw it at whatever was there. ((http://staticshock.wikia.com/wiki/Replikon?useskin=oasis&cb=5464 ))

M'gann kept a cautious eye on the route of the ride's entrance, holding her breath in anticipation. There was a slight tingling in her fingertips as she sensed the arrival of danger, after she remembered to exhale, everything happened all too quickly. All the lights seemed to burst to life with a surge of energy that was far too powerful to be triggered by a switch, someone rushed past her - obviously running from something on their tail. Whatever it was, it was reckless due to the noise it was emitting as it sprinted through the corridor, bumping into a figure of what she recognised as Frankenstein's Monster and Nosferatu.
M'gann made a move to follow whatever the disturbance was but before she could, someone else passed her - someone she recognised.
"Static!" She greeted with an elated tone. Making herself visible, she swiftly flew into his sight's reach, her blue cape fluttering frantically behind her. Oblivious of the intrusive manner of her action, she wore an amicable smile on her green features.

His name. That was the first thing Static heard, and it came from a very girly voice. When the owner of the familiar voice came into his line of sight he blinked realizing who it was. "M'gann, what the... How can I be sure it's you though?" He muttered the ball lighting still in hand as he heard crashing noises behind him. Obviously there was still someone else in here so this was either the real M'gann or Rep in disguise. Which one it was he wasn't too sure, Replikon could replicate Miss Martian's abilities and voice even if he's never heard it. "Maaaan I hate shape-shifters their so confusing." He muttered shaking his head and taking off in the direction of the noise. He race towards it and found the man he was looking for posing as Gear standing around some knocked over monster statues. "Man you really think I'm dumb enough to believe your Gear?" He muttered shaking his head and throwing the ball lightning out at the pseudo-Gear. Replikon was lucky enough that he was able to dodge it and then he took notice of Miss Martian. A smirk formed on the man's face as he jumped at her. "Oh hell no." He muttered having seen this trick before, an electric wire was sent out wrapping its self around Replikon and shocking hum down to the ground. Once there he reverted back to his 'normal' form. A grin appeared on Static's face as he whipped his brow wondering just how he was going to get this man back to a Dakota jail. He could always call B-Man for help but decided against it for now. Then his eyes rested on a metal wire, magnetizing it he lifted it up and wrapped it around Replikon. Of course at that point he remembered Miss Martian was still here...ouch. "Uhh sorry for what I said back there about shape-shifters Miss M" Static said rubbing the back of his head. It wasn't his fault he hadn't believed it was really her when he knew what Replikon was capable of. Heck it was the only reason he attacked 'Gear' like that, if it had truly been Gear he would have stayed Gear and not reverted back. Plus there were three people in the building meaning he had to be Replikon because Gear was still on vacation with his dad. "Wana help me get his body out of here and to the police somehow?" He asked, "and no hard feelings right?" He said laughing a little. She was dating Super Boy the guy was as strong as Superman, there was no way be was making he mad. Even though he had technically defeated supes before even if it was when he was under Brainiac's control.

M'gann gave Static a perplexed look, dumbfounded by his untrustworthy response. She looked like herself, right? He recognised it was her and she'd only presented herself in this, her true form, to him once before. Her eyebrows furrowed in thought, searching for an answer that would trigger a familiarity between the two however before she could pluck one out of thin, now very awkward air, Static made an aloof comment then ran past her.
She spun around, brought to attention by the sound of crackling electricity. When Static mumbled something under his breath, she suddenly realised what was going on (at least, vaguely). Taking a defensive posture, she brought her arms up, ready to attack or protect herself if necessary. With a defiant expression, her eyes read the smug look on the criminal's face. He was going to attack her. Clenching her hands into fists, she readied herself for an offensive attack as he leapt forward, planning to use her telekinesis to freeze him in mid-air.
Before she could, the crook fell to the ground by the hand of Static. Either she was slow today or Static had rightfully earned his place on the team. She thought both explanations to be true, preferring the latter to the former. As he dealt with the criminal, M'gann planted her feet on the ground to further inspect the shapeshifter when she heard an apology spoken.
"It's okay, as long as you sincerely realise what you said was wrong, which it seems like you do." She said earnestly, giving him a forgiving smile. Turning her attention back to the wired heap on the floor, she asked, "Strange. I don't recognise him as another martian, even though he can shapeshift. It seems you know who he is?" She turned to Static, leaving the question open for elaboration.
At his offer of taking the caught thug to jail, she nodded with assent, "Sure! I can use my telekinesis, plus I can serve as at least some use in helping you. After all we're on the same team." At Static's concern for her forgiveness she waved her hand dismissively, "Don't worry, I don't really hold grudges anyway."

Another Martian, yea ‘cause that’s what he is. He shook his head and rubbed his eyes as he looked over at Rep. “His name is Marvin Roper, he’s a Bang Baby or Meta-Human like me. He can shape-shift, but not only does his appearance change but his voice even if he’s never heard the person speak. The worst part though is he can duplicate powers too. That was why I wasn’t sure it was you.” He said rather quickly as he tried to explain everything. “He’s the reason I’m here in Gotham, B-Man and I have an agreement, any Bang Baby that makes a run for it I can come to Gotham and try and stop them. If I can’t, which I usually can, he steps in.” He said shrugging as if it was no big deal, because to him it was. This was one of the easy Bang Babies he’s had to capture. He blinked when she mentioned them being on the same team. Man he had completely forgot about the Young Justice team thing; well mostly. “Oh yea, we are, right I totally didn’t mostly forget about it.” He said with a grin then laughed to himself wanting to take out his Shock Vock and tell Gear who he was with. Richie would never believe he was back in Gotham but this time with Miss Martian, oh sure he had fought a long side Martian Manhunter but unlike him she was strangely attractive. Needless to say Richie would be so jealous of him right now if he was here. Lifting him up a little bit because of the metal wrapped around him he started walking towards the exit. “So, what are you doing in Gotham?” He asked dropping Marvin down to the ground lightly to put out the lights and get rid of the Electromagnetic door in front of the exit. When she picked him up he stepped aside and let her out first, “ladies and knocked out bad guys first.” He said with a grin on his face. Following her out he took out the Static Saucer, letting it down he stepped on it and floated up into the air. “So, know the quickest way to Dakota, or should we leave him here in Gotham for a bit?” He asked, hopping she would say Gotham because he still had another couple hours or so until he had to be home. Plus if when his pops called to tell him to come back if he said who he was with he’d definitely get to stay out later. Man he loved the fact that his dad knew his secret and didn’t tell anyone. Sure it was risky, but it was totally worth it with the extra perks.

M'gann listened to Static's explanation, intent on remembering the information in case it came in handy in the future. "That makes sense, actually. Usually the Justice League are notified when another martian comes to Earth. J'onn - I mean, Martian Manhunter would have told me if someone from our planet inhabited here. I'll have to research the dossiers we have on the Bang Babies, just to be safe in case the team has to fight any of them. Helps to know what we're fighting against." She pondered thoughtfully.
"So you've met Batman before?" She asked, a questioning look on her features. The first time she'd met him - any of the Justice League, for that matter, was when she became a part of the team. The idea of meeting Batman by herself and not only that but forming an alliance... the idea was daunting, to say the least. She laughed slightly when he admitted to forgetting they worked together, "At least your honest."
In response to his question, M'gann suddenly grew shy, holding her hands behind her back and looking down at the ground, "Well, I just wanted to - what I mean is the team all had their own missions because they have their own cities to work in and I didn't want to impose, I mean... they have their own places to protect and I don't really have one so there were no destination-specific missions for me so I thought about how I'd never really been to Gotham before and jumped at the chance. It was stupid, really, I wasn't thinking properly." She explained, blushing and tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
When Static dropped Marvin, M'gann focused her mind on the body, took a small breath and in a second he was hovering off the ground. She followed Static to the door, Marvin floating behind her. Her idle look turned baffled when he offered for her to leave first based on her gender, there was no such custom on Mars. Maybe humans courteously favoured those carrying unconscious bodies when walking through doors?
She didn't ponder on it for very long, exiting the building with Marvin in toe. At Static's inquisition she thought for a moment then answered, "We could contact the GPD then they'll take him to the station. It'll be quicker that way." She suggested. Looking around the park, her gaze landed on a stand that used to sell candyfloss and an idea hit her.
"Hey, I've never had candyfloss before, do you know anywhere that sells it nearby?" She asked surreptitiously. Now that the thought had approached her it seemed all to appealing to ignore.

“Met B-Man? Yea, I, he, and Robin go way back. The Batcave is one awesome place. Did you know that place uses like a bazillion megawatts just to keep the super computer and all the lights running?” He asked with a chuckle the place was huge to say the least, and in the future it was even cooler, spookier but cooler. Then he picked up on her talking about the Bang Babies, “Oh yea, you need to know anything about them you can’t find out just ask. I’m sure me and Gear will be glad to help you.” Man this was so cool, he knew more about B-Man than Miss Martian did and she could read minds. Well most minds, she wouldn’t be able to read his because of his power so that was a plus. His secret Identity, still hidden from the YJ minus Robin, B-Man, and Supes which wasn’t too shabby. He nodded his head as he listened to her explanation on why she wanted to come to Gotham; it was a totally logical reason. Why wouldn’t someone want to come to Gotham? Well you know minus the fact that it was spewing with crime and was like the Dakota Riots twenty-four seven. Besides that it was a great place, and it was protected by the Batman, Robin, and Batgirl. Batgirl, he had only met Miss Barbra Gordon once but ooh ooh ooh she was fine, not as good looking as Daisy of course but still pretty good looking. He nodded his head at what she said, it sounded like a good idea just one tiny little thing. “Sounds cool, but how do you plan on contacting the Gotham Police Department exactly?” It was an honest question, he could ‘call’ 911 using his powers and a telephone pole but that was all he could think of. Then she asked about something called Candy floss, it took him a while but after seeing what she was looking at it hit him. She wanted Cotton Candy, he had never heard it called Candy Floss before but hey there’s a first time for everything, right? “Cotton Candy? Yea we could probably find some, I don’t really know where much is in Gotham but maybe an old pal of mine would be able to know. That is of course if his dad lets him out for the night.” It was risky, but hey Dick knew Gotham like the back of his hand, it was either ask him to show them around as Dick or ask the cops if they knew where any was sold when they showed up. “Or we could ask the cops when they show up.” He said with a chuckle, those where his two best ideas and it was all he could come up with. Kinda pathetic, right?

M'gann nodded with a spoken, "Ah," of understanding. "I can't say I did know that, Robin is kind of secretive with his life out of the team... Isn't that bad for the environment?" She pursed her lips with slight disapproval. She'd seen a few articles and news pieces on global warming, it seemed like a lot of people were concerned about it. "Maybe that's why Poison Ivy hates him so much." Giggling quietly to herself, she glanced at Marvin on the ground, uncomfortably twitching when he convulsed from the amount of electricity that had coursed through him.
"Thanks, your help is very much appreciated." She smiled warmly then asked, "Who's Gear?" The name wasn't familiar, for a moment she worried that it should be if they were going to be allies.
When Static questioned her methods of contacting GPD she glanced into empty space, trying to think of a way that wouldn't include her interrupting their personal thoughts. "I don't really have any idea, I can create a mental link but usually people get freaked out when that happens unannounced. Also it's difficult with those I haven't met before." She laughed sheepishly then turned to him, "What about you, got any ideas that doesn't mean sending a poor, defenceless cop into a fit of panic?"
M'gann positively beamed at Static when he agreed to finding a place that sold candy floss - or rather cotton candy. She clapped her hands together, emitting a very high-pitched squeal while excitably jumping up and down and wearing an ecstatic grin.
"I'm more than happy with the first plan, after all Batman and Robin - even Batgirl are going to hear about a shapeshifter in Gotham. They are "the night" after all." She joked, using rabbit fingers to stress her sarcasm; a gesture she'd learned from 'Hello, Megan!' and repeated ever since.

Batgirl was on a quick patrol. Since Batman was gone to Japan or something and Robin not being around she had to keep an eye on the city. As she jumped over roofs she found nothing wrong near the police station. Heading out more she didn’t spot a thing.
She had seen a flash of what seem to be static she followed it. Seeing M’gann and Static she wondered what was going on. Soon enough she began to watch them. Sure she was could have gone and helped but she wanted to see what the two heroes could do. Batgirl listened in to what they had to say. She was impressed on how Batman and Static was able to make an agreement. It helped though knowing Robin and herself didn’t have to deal with more bad guys.
Batgirl watched them more and smiled. It was time for her to show herself to them. Jumped down from where she was. Smiling at them she looked at the bad guy. There has been a little times that Batgirl have meet M’gann. Static she heard of him but never really meet him. “Don’t worry about contacting GPD. Gordon will be here soon with few other people to take care of him. Till your ready to take him back.”
Batgirl had listened in to what they were saying. So she figured to be some help to them. “Do you guys want to hang out a little. I’m not fully done with patrol I could use some help.” Batgirl actually would love to have people with her. It was time for her to open up to other people on the team and that meant time to hang out with some people. “Also cotton candy I know the best place they sell the best of the best. There is a candy shop that sell the best things.” Barbara enjoyed going to that shop once a week. It was the only way she could get her sugar crave. Batgirl tended to go once a night to get something small when she had the time.

“Gear? He’s my best friend, my partner, he’s also a genius. Literally, the guy has like super-human intelligence that even brainiac was jealous of.” He said laughing slightly as he remembered that day like it was yesterday. It was the first time him and Gear worked side by side with the Justice League, the first time they saved not just Dakota but the world. I mean how could he forget something like that? He laughed slightly at what she said about having a better idea then frightening a cop. “Yea, I do, but I’m going to need a-batgirl?” Static blinked seeing the only female counterpart of the ‘bat-family’ land in front of them having not noticed her anywhere before. Well it seemed their GPD issue was resolved as well as the cotton candy one too since she lived here in Gotham. “Sweet makes this ‘pick up’ a heck of a lot easier and sure we’ll stick around. I mean Miss M did want some cotton candy; and now she’s got me wanting some too.” He said with a grin leaning against a random pole that was next to him as he listened to her talk. He had to admit she looked tight in that bat suit. A chuckle escaped his lips when she started to talk about the shop, “Well then if it’s the best of the best, and sells the best candy we should totally go. Unless of course Joker or someone pops up, I wouldn’t mind going toe to toe with the clown again.” He said with a grin on his face, he loved to joke around it made the whole super hero thing easier to him. Plus although this may be her town he still had experience on her, well mostly. Static loved doing this, protecting people, saving lives: helping people, it was what Hawkins were meant to do. At least that’s what he believed, his mom was a doctor, his sister a counselor, his dad, well his dad did it all, and he was a super hero. If that wasn’t saying he was doing the right thing than nothing did. Dakota may be his place of expertise but he could handle anything Gotham had to throw at them as well. He had taken down big league villains before, he could do it again. Sure he always had help but he wasn’t alone this time either he had Batgirl and Miss Martian with him, this Young Justice team thing might be what he and Gear, whenever he got off vacation, needed. “So, what’s first? Cotton Candy or patrol ?”

M'gann nodded, her eyebrows rising at Static's description. She'd heard a lot about Brainiac and from the sounds of it, he was extremely powerful as well as ruthless, arguably the worst mix for an android. If he was jealous of Gear's intelligence then that had to mean something significant to his strength of character.
M'gann was surprised at the arrival of Batgirl but welcomed it. She'd never get used to how Batman and his accomplices could move around so silently. At her mention of the GPD being able to handle everything she smiled with gratitude, "Thanks, that's a load of our shoulders... Literally," M'gann realised she was still holding Marvin in the air with her telekinesis and let go, the body slumping to the ground.
The evening only seemed to be getting better; everyone seemed to like the idea of getting some cotton candy which heightened M'gann's spirits significantly. The idea of hanging out with some new friends gave her a warm feeling; if she knew it'd been this easy meeting new people when she first came to Earth, she wouldn't have been so anxious around the team whenever they invited her somewhere.
"Cotton Candy!" She beamed. It was obvious which plan M'gann was in favour of carrying out first, her elation at the prospect drowned out any feelings of complacency, "Thanks again for the suggestion, Batgirl." She felt like hugging her team member but refrained, apparently some people found that uncomfortable, then again it was a custom close friends seemed to partake in but she wasn't sure what exactly the defining aspects of a close friend were. In her short experience it was more of an involuntary reaction - classing a friend as family was something that she felt on instinct.

Batgirl smiled seeing how shocked Static was to see her. Not many people outside of Gotham new about the Batgirl. That was one thing Barbara liked. “No problem. Your in Gotham and right now I’m doing the look out. I have to try to be on top of things.” She watched as M’gann put the boy down. Looking at him she was just shocked on how strong he was. Barbara knew that Batgirl will have to look up more information about those kind of humans with powers. She hoped to talk to Static about this more.
Hearing Static mentioned the Joker she shook her head. “That is one villain we do not wish to run into tonight. Not with Batman not being here.” Batgirl looked at him with a small smile. Really she didn’t want to deal with the Joker and his games.
Batgirl rubbed the back of her head hearing M’gann and Static. “Lets go get some.” With a smile she showed them the store. Opening the door the old man greeted her and her friends. “Well go for it. It’s a candy shop with the best candy.” Batgirl said with a smile. Looking at the old man she smiled. “Put it on my tab.” It was her tab but for all he knew Barbara was the one that paid even if it was in the name batgirl.

M'gann mentally shivered at the mentioning of Joker; she'd only encountered the clown once and hoped it was the last time she'd ever have to. Some of the things he did were truly evil yet sometimes his crimes were as small as shoplifting, the nonsensical pattern unsettled her.
Upon following Batgirl to the candy store, she wondered whether she should transform into Megan. She didn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable but then again, no one really complained when J'onn was with his friends and remained in his Martian Manhunter form, he was in the Justice League after all. After much deliberation, she decided to maintain her green skin, figuring that no one would really mind if she was with Batgirl and Static.
When they entered the store, her eyes glazed over with excitement and she gazed at the array of colours on the walls, her mouth agape. "What are... jawbreakers?" She asked, her expression folding into one of confusion. A lot of the labels were unfamiliar to her and she was so distracted by the thousands of sweet scents and scintillating jars of candy that she forgot why she came here in the first place.

Static laughed when Batgirl replied to him about The Joker being one villain they didn’t want to run into without the B-Man being there to help. He knew that for a fact, he may have gotten a lot more powerful, experienced, and better at this Hero thing but the Joker still whooped him when they first met. Sure he had the help of Hotstreak, Kilgore, Shiv, and Talon at the time but Joker was still the mastermind behind it all. Although Joy Buzzing the Joker was still one of his greatest accomplishments, in his book at least, it was right up there with meeting Shaq and taking out Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. So, of course he had to commit on it, “You sure? I mean I’d love to Joy Buzz the guy again, I mean how many people can say they Joy Buzzed the Joker instead of the other way around?” He said jokingly with a grin. When they left to go to the store Virgil threw the disc, electrified it, and hopped on. Oh sure he could have walked with them but he loved the thrill flying gave him, even if it wasn’t real flying. After a while, shorter than he expected honestly, they got to the candy shop so he hopped of the disc. Folding it back up he stuck it in its jacket pocket and held the door open for the girls before walking in after them. When he entered he whistled, it was a low whistle but still a whistle none the less, because the shop definitely deserved it. This place may have looked small on the outside but boy was it packed full with candy on the inside, he was so into it he almost missed Batgirl saying to put it on her tab. This caught his attention though. So, Batgirl had a tab here? How exactly did she pay that without giving up her secret identity he wondered? Shrugging walked around the lines and aisles of sugary goodness trying to decide just what he was going to get until he heard a certain Martian speak up. “Jawbreakers? Thought you wanted Cotton Candy?” He asked with a grin picking up some Cotton Candy and waving it in the air before electromagnetising just enough money to pay for it and floating it to the counter. When the coin money touched down on the counter he took a bite out of the pink sugary cloud and let it melt in his mouth. “Hmm dang that’s pretty good” He said thinking to himself ‘way better than Sharron’s cooking even if Shaq does think it’s good.’
