APPEARANCE:
Kaldur is an Atlantean with dark brown skin that is rarely seen among the people of Poseidonis. His hair is cut very short on top and even shorter on the sides and is a light blond hue. He has pal green eyes and sharp cheekbones that give his face a chiseled look. His body is made up of lean muscle because he has spent the majority of his life beneath the ocean surface. The most distinguishing feature he possesses is the black eel tattoos that run the course of his arms and meet at his back. Kaldur’s uniform consists of a red, sleeveless top with blue pants. At his waist is a golden emblem that also serves as his communicator. Always present with his uniform is a metallic backpack that holds a great amount of water for him to use. The water bearers he possesses are stored within.
PERSONALITY:
Unlike the majority of the team he leads, Kaldur is a calm individual. He is not easily upset when things do not go quite as planned and knows how to keep a level head in the face of danger. He has a knack for developing strategies and planning out his actions before doing. Kaldur is not an impulsive young man. The only time he would act without a plan is if the situation calls for it, like the immediate saving of someone falling from a building or the way the team was first formed. Kaldur is reasoning voice of the team. While others may want to act as soon as they get word, he likes to make sure that all of the facts are straight before doing so. He is meticulous. These are the qualities that have made him out to be such a great leader. Even when he does not want to, Kaldur will take on burdens and give those that would not deserve it, a second chance. But still, he is only 16. There are times when his emotions can get the best of him clouding his judgment. He is loyal, honest and an all around dependable young man.
POWERS:
Thanks to his physiology, Kaldur is capable of breathing underwater and has a number of natural abilities. His body is capable of withstanding the crushing depths of the sea where ordinary men would die. This makes him a tough individual as he has been able to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Superboy. He possesses super strength just like all Atlanteans. At his current level, Kaldur is capable of lifting ten tons of weight. His physiology also makes it so that he can survive natural toxins. Where one does would kill a man it would only make him woozy. While he is incredibly agile and fast on land, he is even more so in the water being able to swim at least 80mph.
Kaldur is also able to generate electricity through the eel tattoos on his body thanks to his capabilities in the mystical arts. He would be at a higher level had he not dropped out of magic classes. His skills in hydrokinesis are also powered by the eel tattoos. He can create hard water constructs that achieve the same effect as the weapons being mimicked. For instance, he can use the water bearers to form a sword that will stab and slices just like its real world counterpart. Because of his Atlantean physiology, Kaldur is always in danger of dehydration when in arid conditions and high temperatures.
